activities (such as R&D) that
are ready for deployment (or will be in the very near future), have
funding in hand,
and are requesting access to the underground facilities at the
Homestake site.
Proposals submitted by April 2 will be evaluated by our Program
Advisory
Committee that will meet during the April workshops in Lead (20-26),
and will
be prioritized according to scientific merit, readiness, and
appropriateness for the
current state of our site.
I am seeking assistance from our PAC to develop the best

the Early Implementation Program of the Sanford Laboratory. We do
not have
the resources to fund experiments, R&D activities, or other
requests for support
such as travel, manpower or equipment purchases or development.
I hope that this information will assist you in planning
your response to the Call.
